A man has been airlifted from a crash near Tambar Springs overnight.

About 9.40pm on Thursday, October 3, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance to a crash near Tambar Springs.

A rescue helicopter spokesperson said a man aged in his 20s was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and the helicopter’s critical care medical team for multiple injuries before being transported to Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital.

No further details were available.
