Gunnedah horse trainer Gavin Groth’s best result last Saturday was a second placing as he had three runners in the race day at Inverell.
Groth had runners in races two and three while the track was rated a Soft 5, before his final runner was in race six while the track was upgraded to a Good 4.
The Groth-trained and Siena Grima-ridden Injair was the favourite in race two, which was 1200m.
Injair finished runner-up to Nipper Bee, the second favourite which won the race by one length in a field of eight.
The next race was 1600m, with the Groth-trained and Grima-ridden Pampuni placing fifth after being the second favourite in another field of eight.
The sixth and final race was 1400m, with the Groth-trained and Cassey Williams-ridden Blue Steel placing 10th after being the seventh favourite in a field of 14.
