Rivah McDonald was named ‘athlete of the year’ as Gunnedah Little Athletics Club staged its end-of-year presentation at Donnelly Fields last month.
Rivah was also named U9 boys age champion, while U9 girls champion Reeva Ceeney was another prominent award winner as she had the club’s highest point score and also earned the Danny Regan award.
Awards were handed out in each age group from U6s to U17s, while the seniors age group ranged from U13s to U17s.
Most attendees sat under marquees as the young athletes and members of their extended family braved hot conditions.
