Swimming Gunnedah will celebrate 70 years with a special anniversary long course swim carnival this Saturday.
The club has received a phenomenal 141 entries, including 46 from the local squad.
Gunnedah Shire mayor Colleen Fuller will officially open the carnival, alongside local councillors and Gunnedah swim club life members before the cutting of the cake.
The club has a strong and proud history and has produced many champions over the years.
The day will be packed full of racing, including the Ian Bartlett Memorial Relay race, and a junior and senior SKINNS event which is an exciting series of back-to-back races that operate on a knockout basis.
There will also be some amazing raffles and cash prizes on offer.
Racing starts at 8am, and anyone is welcome to attend.
