Gunnedah has produced some talented New England and North West champions who were honoured with their 2024 season awards at the area championships in Armidale last weekend.
The long course champions competed at last February’s area meet in Tamworth, while the short course winners raced in Armidale last winter.
Champions competing under the Gunnedah banner at the time of competition include:
Long course: 8&U Matilda Ramien, 8&U runner-up Jimmy Fitzgerald; 9years Banjo Fitzgerald, runner-up Max Smith; 10yrs Camden Many, runner-up Cameron Sills; 11yrs Josh Spinks; 12yrs runner-up Matilda Denovan; 13yrs runner-up: Baxter Knapman; 14yrs runner-up Cooper Whitton.
Gunnedah recruit Jessica Broadhead was awarded Open champion.
Short course winners: 8&U girls Jessica Dalessandro; 8&U boys Huxley Sheridan, runner-up Myles Young; 9yrs Darci Dalessandro; 10yrs Cameron Sills; 11yrs Jorja Burden, 11 yrs Quade Young; 12yrs Josh Spinks; 14yrs Sophie Rindfleish, runner-up Katie Spinks; Open champions Jessica Broadhead and Josh Spinks.
