It was the showdown of the year – at least in the Gunnedah Times NRL footy tipping circles – Jesse’s Paramatta Eels against Jamie and Laura’s Newcastle Knights.
The Gunnedah siblings are fervent supporters of their respective clubs, as well as long-time supporters of Gunnedah Bulldogs Rugby League.
Together with fellow Knights supporter, Laura Reeves, the trio headed to Newcastle’s International Sports Centre for the round 11 NRL fixture earlier this month.
As the family rivalry reached fever pitch, the Jesse, Jamie and Laura were there to cheer on the Knights and Eels as the clubs went head-to-head.
For the record, the Eels delivered a crushing 28-6 win over the home-town Knights.
