Swimming Gunnedah will host one of its biggest events on the pool calendar this weekend when more than 100 swimmers compete at the club’s annual short course meet.
More than 40 Gunnedah swimmers have registered, while visiting athletes come from the New England, North West and Hunter regions.
Club pride, spirit and fast racing will be on show, with the SKINS event sure to be popular.
The event will involve the top six fastest 50m freestylers in each selected age group battling it out in some fast and furious racing, while cash prizes are up for grabs.
The club will also hold a raffle, with $3500 worth of prizes while a couple of major sponsors have come on board.
The carnival provides a chance for competitors to qualify for the NSW Junior State Age and New England North West championships.
Races start on Saturday morning.
