A regionally-based, future leaders conference was yesterday set to host a one-day program focused on emotional fitness, mindset, and leadership transformation.

Led by Business NSW – New England North West, the Future Leaders Bootcamp 2025 was due to host guest speaker and behavioural strategist Joe Pane.

The event aimed to ’empower’ the next generation of leaders in the region.

The North West program was designed to stretch the thinking and practical capabilities of both emerging and experienced leaders.

The day was to include a case study and discussion featuring an emerging leader who has applied emotionally intelligent leadership in the workplace, before Mr Pane guided participants through the foundations of emotional resilience, values-based leadership, and sensory influence.

Participants also engaged with a second case study discussion, this time spotlighting an experienced leader and the insights gained through a seasoned leadership journey.

It also included deep dives into applied strategies for influence, non-verbal communication, and trust-building in high-stakes environments.

The Tamworth leadership event complements another emerging leaders forum, Next Gen, which is hosted by the Gunnedah Chamber of Commerce.

NextGen, which recently elected its inaugural leadership committee, targets individuals aged 16-35, business owners, employees in leadership roles, apprentices, students working in a professional capacity (not school students), and anyone ready to step up and contribute to Gunnedah’s future prosperity.
