The Gunnedah Bulldogs and Poochettes will play at Tamworth No. 1 Oval this Saturday, due to Wolseley Park being closed.

Both teams were scheduled to contest their Tamworth Swans counterparts at Wolseley Park in the AFL North West (NSW) competition, with the home side hoping to have its ladies day activities as part of the proceedings.

With the Gunnedah venue being flooded this week, the fixtures were relocated while the Bulldogs and Poochettes were forced to cancel the ladies day formalities.

The Gunnedah teams had a bye last weekend while the Swans teams had back-to-back byes, with the Bulldogs and Poochettes scheduled to have three more fixtures in the lead-up to the finals.

The bottom-placed Bulldogs men’s team has won once this year but remains an outside chance of making the finals, while the Poochettes are almost assured of finishing in second place in the women’s competition.

In the men’s competition, the Swans beat the Bulldogs 17.18.120 to 11.9.75 at Wolseley Park on May 31 before the Tamworth team inflicted a horrendous 23.26.164 to 4.3.27 defeat on home soil on July 5.

Gunnedah won both women’s matches, having prevailed 14.10.94 to 1.2.8 on May 31 and 8.10.58 to 2.5.17 on July 5.
