NSW Minister for Recovery and Small Business Janelle Saffin said: “People are doing it tough in the New England, but I want them to know that the Government is here every step of the way through recovery.

“That’s what Recovery Assistance Points are here for, so communities can access the support and services they need to start getting back on their feet.

“We are also working closely with and support Councils too to repair the infrastructure communities need to stay connected to services and each other.”

NSW Reconstruction Authority CEO Mal Lanyon said: “We’re standing up the Gunnedah Recovery Assistance Point to ensure communities have access to the support they need.

“This is a coordinated effort across local, state and federal agencies, working together to provide a one stop shop for people and businesses impacted by recent severe weather.”
