Paul Osmond’s family has been visiting AgQuip for almost as long as he can remember.
The Gunnedah pilgrimage has become a much-loved tradition for the Kempsey region visitor and his friends who would be arriving by the dozen.
“There could be 60 of us here come Monday, this campsite here – all from the same area,” Paul said.
His father, Robert, has been a regular visitor to AgQuip for nearly three decades.
“Dad has been coming here for years, we have a farming background, and I work on a cattle and cropping station on the Victorian border,” Paul said.
Paul continued the tradition with his mates and now with his own family in tow.
“We started off as single people coming here and now we all have families they come as well,” he said.
Paul said his family has grown since his last visit to AgQuip.
“We came here a few years ago, we only had one [child] then, now we have two,” he said.
“It’s got everything here … new things to see, bit of everything to do.
“Always buy things we probably don’t need,” he joked.
Although Paul had heard about the flooding situation in Gunnedah earlier this month, he said a visit to AgQuip was always on the cards this year.
