The Gunnedah Physical Culture Club (Physie) had a strong start to the 2025 competition season, with standout performances at the Woy Woy and Muswellbrook interclub competitions.

On Sunday August 3, 33 club members competed in the Woy Woy Interclub.

The Gunnedah Physie girls displayed elegance, strength and confidence on the floor, with 10 competitors achieving placings across various age groups.

The day was filled with excitement, team spirit, and plenty of proud smiles from performers and supporters.

Two weekends later, Gunnedah Physie had more than 40 competitors at the Muswellbrook Interclub while 23 of them received

placings.

The strong showing reflected months of dedication, hard work, and club pride.

Club representatives praised the efforts of every participant, noting that “each member of our club contributed to the supportive and spirited atmosphere that defines Physie”.

“We are incredibly proud of the commitment and sportsmanship shown by our members,” a club spokesperson said.

“These results highlight not just individual achievements, but the strength of our whole team.

“Our teachers and assistants also went above and beyond at both interclubs, offering their support ringside throughout the long competition days and celebrating every routine, whether it resulted in a placing or simply a proud moment on the floor.

“With the 2025 competition calendar well underway, Gunnedah Physical Culture Club looks forward to continuing its success and celebrating more achievements in the months

ahead.”
