As Mental Health Month draws to an end for October — people are encouraged to reflect, connect, and continue promoting activities that support mental health and wellbeing in their daily lives and in the lives of those around us.
This year’s theme, ‘Taking Steps on Your Wellbeing Journey’, reminded us that wellbeing is not a final destination, but a continuous path of growth, progress, and self-care. It encouraged individuals to embrace small, meaningful actions that contribute to long-term wellbeing.
The Rural Adversity Mental Health Program (RAMHP) was proud to support this message and encouraged rural communities across NSW to take their next step—whether that’s reaching out for support, starting a conversation, or finding new ways to connect with others.
“Living in rural and remote areas comes with unique challenges, but also incredible strength and resilience,” said Kate Arndell, RAMHP Service Manager.
“Mental Health Month is a chance to acknowledge those challenges and take positive steps forward together.”
