Spotlight: LOST PROPERTY

The library is a fantastic place to sit in the cool (or warm), catch up with friends, read a magazine, and walk away with a stack of books to enjoy. Unfortunately, several drink bottles, hats, glasses, and even photographs have caught on to this secret, and have spent several weeks soaking up the calm ambience. If you think that any of these rogue adventurers may belong to you, please come in and browse the line-up and take them home ahead of Christmas.

Spotlight: HOOPLA

Another e-resource that library members can access is hoopla.

If you are looking for e-books, audiobooks or comics, hoopla is the place to go. They also have music, movies, and TV series that you can cast to your television and watch in comfort. Borrow up to 6 items each month (and grab free Bonus Borrows in the last week), sit back and read! The library is charged for each item you borrow, so please only borrow what you can read in the borrowing period. Otherwise – enjoy!

Spotlight: NEW BOOKS

If you loved Craig Silvey’s Runt, you will want to read the exciting new sequel, Runt and the Diabolical Dognapping (YAF SIL)! Six weeks have passed since Annie Shearer and Runt competed at the Krumpets Dog Show. The town of Upson Downs is rejuvenated, and preparations are underway for another canine talent event. But Runt has gone missing and Annie’s worst fears are confirmed when she discovers a ransom note with a peculiar demand…

Ferryman (BIOG 296 ARI) by Katia Ariel is a portrait of Ephraim Finch – deathworker, community builder and archivist. But he is not just an undertaker: to his Jewish community in Melbourne, he is a guide, a steadying hand, and master of kindness and a living repository of cultural memory.

In The Wish (AFA MOR) Heather Morris has penned a powerful and heartfelt story about courage, family, resilience and finding hope in the darkest of places. Teenager Jesse loves her family and her friends, even when they irritate her! She is also dying, so when she is offered the chance to fulfill one wish, she knows what she wants. The only person who can make it happen is highly talented, but reclusive, games designer Alex. The unexpected friendship that develops will change their lives forever.

We have some great books on anti-gravity, you won’t be able to put them down!
