Gunnedah Riding for the Disabled (RDA) had its Christmas party last week, celebrating with volunteers, high school students and participants while party food was devoured.

Children let the volunteers know their work was appreciated, with letters written by students at Gunnedah Public School.

“Thank you very much, its excellent and I love Spike, Snowbell and Mary,” was a message written by Cain.

Kian wrote, “Thanks for a great year of riding at RDS. It is awesome.”

The charity announced last month it would close for 2026 due to lack of volunteers.
