Those who are yet to take a stroll to Brock’s Court on Conadilly Street may like to do so before the festive season ends.
The wonder of Gunnedah’s Christmas tree is on full display, with the first lighting of the year celebrated on Friday.
It was a successful turnout, with plenty of families choosing to gather as the tree lit up in gold and surrounding coloured lights.
Live music was provided by the Sing-a-longs alongside the Uke-Alypts and two musicians from Gunnedah Shire Band.
Gunnedah Shire Council mayor Colleen Fuller thanked the talents along with many others including Rotary Club of Gunnedah West volunteers on the barbecue.
Zooper Doopers also went down a treat for all, while children took up the opportunity to play in the park.
The celebration was bigger than previous years with more packed into the agenda.
Mrs Fuller had decided against the traditional mayoral Christmas party and instead invited people down to watch the tree glimmer.
