Six Gunnedah tennis juniors put their best foot forward as they competed in the State 12s Teams Event at Bathurst Tennis Centre last weekend.
The boys played against two metro teams as well as ACT, Central West and South East, while the girls opposed two metro teams, ACT, Northumberland and South West.
The boys finished fifth in their pool and 10th overall, while the girls finished sixth in their pool and 11th overall.
Lachlan Finnerty recorded two singles wins, while Harry Tudgey and Adalie Muddle recorded one singles win each.
Millie Lyle led 4-2 in her final singles match, but some singles matches couldn’t be finished in the play-offs as a result had been reached in the final.
Singles and doubles matches were played in each tie throughout the tournament, with both Gunnedah teams recording a couple of doubles wins.
