BOGGABRI Golf Club held its annual open day earlier this month.
While the field was reduced to 44 players, it was a most enjoyable day.
Locals were joined by players from Sydney, Gunnedah, Tamworth, Tallwood, Narrabri and Scone to enjoy a sunny winter’s day.

The day has been sponsored by the Gallen family (Jacob and Anderson) for more than 50 years with co-sponsors including the RSL Club, Commercial Hotel, Friendly Grocer and Narrabri Pro Shop.

Winners of the Jacob and Anderson 18-hole net event were locals Nathan Miller and Jason Kemp with a massive 52 points from runners-up Jayde Campbell and Jarod Adams on 51 points.

Gunnedah golfers took out the gross event with Luke Streater and Guy Gallen winning with 36 points from juniors Lucas and Benny Grosser on 33 gross points.

The first nine winners were locals Geoff Hobden and Milton Nudd with 22 points while Adrian Stevens, visiting from Scone, paired with David Nudd to win the second nine with 25 points.
