Gunnedah Red Devils reps ready for NSW Country Championships

The Gunnedah Red Devils are set to have a strong representation at this weekend’s NSW Country Championship at the Tamworth-based Scully Park.

Five men and five women from the Gunnedah rugby union club have been chosen to represent Central North, while one of Gunnedah’s coaches has also been appointed.

Adrian Burl, Will Chaffey, Ben Hamparsum, Gabriel Mahu’inga and Tim McDermott have been named in a men’s squad of 25 while Holly Ford, Jean Littlewood, Lupe Mikaele, Abby Nortrup and Madisan Rogers have been named in a women’s squad of 22.

Coach of the Red Devils women’s team, Matt Hannay, will coach the Central North women’s team.

The men’s team will oppose Far North Coast and Illawarra while the women oppose Central West and Central Coast on Saturday, before finals are played on Sunday.
