Multicultural organisation which run projects, and activities that build a stronger, more harmonious community are encouraged to apply for funding under the Multicultural NSW Stronger Together Grants Program.

Member for Tamworth Kevin Anderson said the region is home to people from more than 100 different cultures, adding to the vibrancy and diversity.

“We are fortunate to have a range of multicultural organisations in our region that work hard to foster

harmony and diversity among our communities,” Mr Anderson said.

“Major events like Fiesta La Peel in Tamworth and Gunnedah’s Multicultural Festival showcase our diversity, but events like that do not happen without the hard work of community-based groups.

“Multicultural events help bring our communities together, so I’m encouraging any group multicultural or multifaith group looking to boost community cohesion to apply for Multicultural NSW’s Stronger Together Grant program.”
