Police are investigating a suspicious fire in Gunnedah earlier this morning.
The fire occurred at an unoccupied residence on Mathias Road, adjacent to the Kamilaroi Highway heading towards Boggabri.
The property is believed to have been abandoned for several years.
It was one of several call-outs overnight for local firefighters.

Gunnedah firefighters also responded to a house fire at Mullaley.
Fire crews from Gunnedah, which assisted the Rural Fire Service at the incident, arrived to find the structure fully alight.
The Nombi Street residence was unable to be saved.
Back in Gunnedah, fire crews also responded to an incident on Wandobah Road earlier this morning.
