The Pony Club NSW championships have been postponed after they were scheduled to take place at the Gunnedah Showgrounds from last Friday to Sunday.

A wet weather forecast prompted Pony Club NSW to decide last Wednesday to pull the pin on the event, named the ‘State Showjumping and Jumping Equitation Championships’.

“The safety of our riders, horses, officials, and volunteers is our top priority, and the expected conditions are not suitable for a safe and fair competition,” Pony Club NSW said in a statement.

The championships have been rescheduled for October 31 to November 2, while the venue will be the Coonabarabran Showgrounds due to the Gunnedah Showgrounds being booked for other events.
