About $5000 was raised at this year’s Rotary Club of Gunnedah West charity golf day, which took place at the Gunnedah course on the final day of last month.
The funds were divided among a range of local charities, as well as the Australian Rotary Health: Mental Health Research (ARH-MHR).
With each team comprising four players, the winning line-up comprised Cameron Ellbourn, Megan Ellbourn, Paul Bennett and Wade Bartlett.
The winning quartet received the Ian Carrington Memorial Perpetual Trophy, although the Ellbourn couple was absent from the presentation.
Nearest-the-pin winners were Maryanne Grosser and Bruce Higham (second hole), Caleb Dorrington (seventh), Mick Smyth (12th) and Liz Higham (16th), while the straight drive winners were Lucas Grosser and Tahnee Steele.
Numbers were down a little compared to last year, with this year’s event occurring after the club championships were staged on the two previous weekends.
Members, partners and Rotary personnel supported the day by selling raffle tickets and cooking the barbecue lunch.
