The Gunnedah Conservatorium’s baby grand piano was recently graced by the hands of world-renowned pianist Wynona Wang when she took to The Civic’s stage earlier this month.
The performer had travelled from New York to the small town as a part of her Australian Tour and the school’s 2025 program.
Gunnedah Conservatorium director Rebecca Ryan said the world-class performer was generous with her time, speaking with the audience about life and experiences after the concert as well.
“The concert was extremely well received by the audience,” she said.
Prior to the concert, the conservatorium’s piano students were treated to a special workshop led by Wynona.
The rare opportunity provided local students with the chance to perform their favourite song in front of the acclaimed musician.
Attendees were also provided with hints, tips and advice for their future musical endeavours.
