The value of estate planning and having a valid will were in the spotlight at Gunnedah Evening VIEW Club’s May dinner meeting where principal solicitor and accredited mediator, Stacey McAllan, and estate lawyer Allison Clark were guest speakers. Stacey McAllan Legal was formed 15 years ago when Stacey took over Walker Beer & Associates, with Alan Beer staying on for some time to ensure a smooth transition. CWA Gunnedah hosts Mother’s Day market sale

Gunnedah’s Country Women’s Association hosted its third annual Mother’s Day Market last weekend. The market stalls offered plenty for the discerning shoppers – from plants to pendants, jewels to jugs, nic-nacs and one-off keepsakes. Easily the most popular part of the event was the morning tea. Sweet slices and delicious cakes tempted those willing to indulge. The kitchen volunteers were again a hive of activity. Safe to say, no-one left hungry. The plant stall also proved popular. Tambar Springs SES has commemorated 40 years of continuous service to the districts of Tambar Springs, Premer and Mullaley. The remarkable achievement for the small group of men and women (more than half who are aged over 70 years) that are the Tambar Springs SES unit. Gunnedah health team recognises International Nurses Day

A group of nurses gathered at the Gunnedah Hospital on Monday to commemorate International Nurses Day. Community health, emergency department, theatre and general ward nurses enjoyed morning tea and a cup of coffee for the worldwide event which takes place on the anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth.
