Gunnedah’s Jordan Dall was at his usual best on Sunday, placing first in the Pro 450 and MX open divisions in the first round of Gunnedah Motorcycle Club championships.

The event was part of the Weeks of Speed and Dall spoke to the Gunnedah Times about the event.

“We had a good run, there were a few seniors there, a lot of juniors and locals,” Dall said.

“There were plenty of the little ones on the 50s and without any of them there wouldn’t really be a club.

“It was good to see them all out there, we’ve got a strong community.”

Having won the club championships in the past, Dall missed out on the title last year but is hoping to triumph in 2022.

But it wasn’t because he was beaten on the day, Dall was forced to miss some of the club championship rounds due to work commitments and travel for bigger events.

Whether that is the case for this year or not, Dall is confident in his ability to reclaim the championship.

Now, Dall turns his attention towards a ‘Trackmasters’ event at Raymond Terrace in the Hunter Region.

“I’m heading down there next weekend with a few others from Gunnedah as well,” Dall said.

The event will have two heat races to be contested by competitors with the top 10 riders progressing straight into the final with the next 12 competing in a B grade final. The top two riders from that will progress into the main event of the day.
