May I take this opportunity to congratulate Bruce Hocking and his board for the tremendous effort they put into hosting of the Central North Grand Final.
As a previous president and instigator of the Gunnedah B&S, I fully understand the amount of work that goes into the running of such an event. To the coaches, players and support staff, you should be rightfully proud of your achievements for the 2022 season. Unfortunately, after 52 long years, it wasn’t to be but you have set a platform for the future.
It was amazing to see such a large crowd on hand (flooding did not help) and be able to enjoy a great day of rugby at what is arguably the best complex in country rugby in NSW.
Also, great promotion of the grand final in the Gunnedah Times as well as the many businesses and organisations around town which showed their support in Red Devils colours.
