Children aged 12 and under were busy with scissors and glue during the school holidays at the Gunnedah Shire Library.

The ‘crafty creations’ were an initiative of the Gunnedah shire’s school holiday program starting earlier this month. The library was donned with space related decorations made by staff and children.

Decorations doubled as a ‘seek and find’ challenge where the children could explore the library to win a small prize.

Last week, the children resourcefully turned something old into new with their craft ‘waste into art: robot making’.  Epic creations were made with cupcake liners, egg cartons, bottle lids and more over the school holiday period.

Each month the library features a new theme and will transition into library lovers for February.
