Gunnedah Show Society is thrilled to announce the return of the ‘Capturing the Spirit of the Show’ photography competition, inviting attendees to showcase what the essence of the show means to them through captivating photographs.

In recent years, participants have captured moments such as volunteers lending a hand, children enjoying the animal nursery, dodgem car riders, children and their ponies, and reunions at the show. This year, the competition hoped to encapsulate the experiences and emotions that make the Gunnedah Show a cherished community event.

Thanks to the generous sponsorship, the winner of the competition will take home a prize of $250.

Paul Mathews, convenor of the photography section, expressed his enthusiasm for the competition, stating: “It is truly inspiring to see how the Gunnedah Show holds different meanings for everyone.

“Through this competition, we get to witness the unique perspectives and experiences that make our show so special.”

To enter the photography competition, participants are encouraged to capture a photo that encapsulates the spirit of the Gunnedah Show and submit it via Facebook Messenger during the show, which will be held from Friday, April 12, to Sunday, April 14.
