Life on the farm is remarkably interesting and extremely different to living in the city.

You have plenty of space to live your life freely on the farm.

The list of activities is endless, you can ride motorbikes, have a barbecue overlooking the lush green paddocks and contribute to the farming world.

Farms are very important to our economy and the world we live in. Farmers feed the entire population and are relied upon to grow some of the world’s finest produce.

Did you know out of the $62.2 billion worth of food and fibre Australian farmers produced in 2018-2019, $49.2 billion was exported to different countries?

The location of farms differs depending on where you are located. Some of the major areas to grow dryland cotton are Namoi valley (NSW), Darling Downs (QLD) and Murrumbidgee Valley (NSW).

Country living isn’t as popular as living on the coastlines of Australia.

Did you know around 85 per cent of Australians live within 50 kilometres from the ocean?

Living on a farm is such an exhilarating and rewarding experience.

I describe farm life as active, hard work, family connections, long days and home-grown feasts.

One of the best parts is knowing that a long day’s work out in the paddock actually pays off.

Did you know that 90 per cent of farmers eat their own produce?

Farms are life!
