The Red Devils Women have clinched their place in the Central North Rugby finals for 2024 after a commanding 27-0 win over the Barraba Rams in their final round match on Saturday.

The game saw an impressive start from the Red Devils, with their forward pack executing well-coordinated plays. Winger, Laura Higgins showcased her strength and speed, outrunning the Barraba defence to score the first try of the game and her debut try for Gunnedah.

NSW Country Representative, Piper Rankmore continued her stellar form, adding two tries to the scoreboard. Peta Lawrence also contributed with a try and a conversion. Following

relentless forward pack charges, Dima Ranamalo was stopped just short of the line, setting the stage for Steph Lennon to score the final try of the game.

With the team having a bye for the next two weeks, the upcoming games for other clubs will determine whether the Red Devil Women’s 10s team finish in second place to advance to the major semi finals or in third place for the minor semi finals.
