It remained to be seen if there were enough bar stools to go round at one licensed establishment in Gunnedah on Wednesday night with both sides of the political divide set to host events at the same venue.

The Nationals invited people to join them for a ticketed event ‘AgQuip – Pollies in the Pub’, meanwhile Labor’s Deborah O’Neill was also hosting her own ‘Politics in the Pub’ event.

A dose of friendly banter from their parliamentary counterparts perhaps? Or a purely coincidently timing?

The Nats were set to wheel in federal party leader, Hon David Littleproud MP, alongside state and federal colleagues, Dugald Saunders MP, Jamie Chaffey MP, Hon Kevin Anderson MP and Hon. Sarah Mitchell MLC.

Senator Deborah O’Neill Deborah is a Labor Senator for New South Wales, Chair of Parliamentary Joint Committee on Corporations and Financial Services and Chair of Standing Committee for the Scrutiny of Delegated Legislation.
