Gunnedah Public students take part in national coin launch

Dorothea Mackellar Coin Launch

Year 6 students at Gunnedah Public School were invited to attend the Royal Australian Mint unveiling of the new series of 50 cent coins. The coins celebrate the poetry of Dorothea Mackellar’s love letters to the land. This beautiful event was a national launch for the coins with information about Dorothea Mackellar’s connection to Gunnedah.

Naplan for Years 3 and 5

Students in Years 3 and 5 recently participated in annual NAPLAN testing. Teaching staff commended students on their resilience, patience and cooperation with staff changes and technical issues that occurred. All tried their best and were a credit to their school. Well done!
