It was a day of pink outfits and fundraising at the Gunnedah Golf Club on Tuesday last week, as 19 members took part in a ‘Tee off for Breast Cancer Trials’ event.

More than $1600 was raised for Breast Cancer Trials, as the event was all about improving and saving the lives of people affected by breast cancer.

The format was a draw for partners Fourball, with an interesting twist. Players took turns in using a pink ball, which had the bonus of doubling their score on the holes that it was used which enabled several pairs to achieve some great scores.

Anne Finnigan and Lauren Robertson won on a countback from Lyn Mitchell and Anne, who was a ‘swinger’ as both pairs scored 69 points.

Mystery holes were added to the mix, with Cecily Jaeger and Penny Crawford winning these.

Balls went to the rest of the field with only a few missing out, while Kay Clarke and Jacinta Stanley won the Fashions on the Course.

Alison Dawson Bee sponsored and organised the event.
