For those who unfortunately missed the rugby Test between the Wallabies and the British Lions, not only was it a brutal spectacle which the Wallabies won, it was to me a much greater event which I was privileged to watch.

The welcome to country by indigenous elder Lloyd Walker was one of the most moving and genuine orations I have seen. I am not a fan of this usually but the ex-Wallaby spoke from the heart and reiterated that they should be only for such special occasions.

The rendition of the national anthem was inspiring, with all members of the squad belting out this wonderful ‘call to arms’ unlike some other teams representing their country who either remain tight-lipped or make only a token gesture before the cameras.

To top it off the Wallabies won and they were led by a local boy Harry Wilson which us all proud to be Australian.
