The Gunnedah and District Chamber of Commerce and Industry has been named Outstanding Local Chamber at the 2025 State Business Awards.
Business NSW New England North West regional director Diane Gray said the award recognises the Gunnedah chamber’s outstanding leadership, advocacy, and commitment to supporting local enterprise, emerging leaders and strong community collaboration.
“Our chambers play such a vital role in regional success stories, and Gunnedah has shown what can be achieved when people come together with purpose and vision,” she said.
The awards were held at the International Conference Centre Theatre in Sydney on Wednesday where several more Gunnedah representatives also attended as regional finalists.
Representing the New England North West region, Gunnedah’s Many Fabrication & Engineering was named as a finalist in two categories.
The company’s Tate Shaw was a finalist in the Outstanding Young Business Leader category and Juliann Merrick in the Outstanding Employee award.
Another local finalist at the state awards was Michael Broekman from Namoi Valley Bricks, who was named in the Outstanding Business Leader 20 Employees and Under category.
Ms Gray said the awards night was a great evening celebrating business success across New South Wales.
“We are so proud of our regional winners and finalists who continue to drive growth, opportunity, and innovation across the NENW,” she said.
