Gunnedah Physical Culture Club (aka Physie) achieved a milestone while three members represented the club at the Ladies National Championships at Sydney Olympic Park last Sunday.
Grace Farmer’s progression to the final round was the first time anyone from Gunnedah Physical Culture Club had ever reached this stage, while fellow club members Leslee Finnerty and Sam Hubbard were semi-finalists.
Gunnedah Physical Culture Club president Lacie Launders said “it was an incredible evening” with the Gunnedah trio delivering “beautiful performances, showcasing elegance, strength and true Gunnedah spirit on the national stage”.
Lacie said Grace’s achievement was remarkable while “her outstanding performance was a testament to her dedication and passion for Physie”.
“The club extends heartfelt congratulations to all three ladies for their amazing efforts and for representing Gunnedah Physie with pride and grace,” Lacie said.
“What an inspiring way to finish an incredible year of Physie!”
Earlier last weekend, Gunnedah Physie duo Marli Campbell and Audrey Dean took to the floor at the Junior Repechage.
Lacie said Marlie and Audrey “gave outstanding performances and should be incredibly proud of their achievements on such a big stage”.
