Micah Barnes Refrigeration may have changed its name to Barnes Refrigeration, but it is still offering the same great service residents of Gunnedah know and love.
The family-owned business is today also celebrating three years of servicing the community, an incredible milestone for a hard-working family.
Barnes Refrigeration has been ensuring the community stays comfortable all year round with its service including the installation and repair of woodfires.
They also supply and service cool rooms, as well as the service, repair, installation and maintenance of all air conditioners.
The husband-and-wife team of Micah and Emilee Barnes decided to create their own business and expand the town’s services three years ago to make life more flexible to suit their family, with two beautiful girls, one-year-old Norah and six-year-old Heidi.
“There have been lots of late nights and early mornings but it has just been amazing to build such a good business in only three short years here in Gunnedah,” Emilee said.
“It is a great milestone and an incredible achievement and we are continuing to grow.”
It is this continued growth which has prompted the name change, recently changing the business from a sole trader to a company.
“We decided to shorten the name but keep it similar so that people know we are still the same,” Emilee said.
“We have such wonderful customers and love owning a business in Gunnedah.
“We are growing bigger and currently have an apprentice onboard who is nearing the second year of his apprenticeship which is great.
“With this growth, it is easier to be a company than a sole trader. It is absolutely an exciting time for us.”
