Josh Spinks gained a first placing while fellow Gunnedah triathlete Cooper Galton achieved second at last Sunday’s Enticer Triathlon at Kootingal War Memorial Pool.

Hosted by the Tamworth Triathlon Club, this event featured a 100m swim, 4km bike ride and a 1km run.

Josh recorded a time of 14.01 while Cooper’s time was 15.50.

Both boys have only been training for triathlons for just over a month, while last Sunday was Cooper’s first ever triathlon.

Coach John Hickey said, “It was a great opportunity for the boys to test their skills in a small country triathlon, and both did extremely well. Thanks to Tamworth for hosting the event and allowing us to race.”
