Clinton Hall earned a runner-up placing as he was among four Gunnedah Speedway Club members in the Racing Sedans Australia NSW Junior Titles at Goulburn Speedway last Saturday night.

Sophie Partridge placed fourth while Charlette Keeler came seventh as they competed in the Junior New Stars division along with fellow Gunnedah competitor Clinton.

Gunnedah’s Bailey Jackson finished seventh as he drove in the All Stars division.

As the occasion was Charlette’s sixth career race, she had a few nerves but held her head high as she competed alongside some very strong and fast cars.

“She drove above and beyond her experience which is a true credit to her,” a Gunnedah Speedway Club spokesperson said.

The spokesperson said all four members “were amazing and drove their hearts out”, and “conducted themselves with a high standard of professionalism”.

“Their cars were a credit to them, they each helped one another and other competitors like they do at each race they attend, without being asked,” the spokesperson said.

Drivers came from Goulburn, Narrabri, Coffs Harbour, Newcastle, Portland, Grafton, Sydney and Dubbo, in addition to Gunnedah.

The event was delayed for six weeks after wet weather affected the track, which was subsequently in good condition before showing wear and tear by the end of last Saturday’s races.
