Gunnedah Baptist Community Preschool held an excursion with the ‘Yellow Room’ children to Gunnedah Shire Library for World Literacy Day (September 8).
The session was run by Erin DeGroot, who read multiple stories and sung nursery rhymes and songs. The children identified and made animal noises of the animals they saw in the books. After the mat group time the children explored the long table together, which was a mind map of World Literacy Day for them to enjoy by colouring in the pictures.
