Gunnedah Day VIEW Club members welcomed guest speaker Kate Frend to the September luncheon meeting where she spoke about her role as a Registered Nurse (RN) caring for people’s health at Carter’s Pharmacy.
Kate explained to the group about the variety of health checks available, including blood pressure monitoring, blood sugar levels, dressings and other services.
Members and guests really enjoyed the talk and had plenty of questions for Kate, who said they are always welcome to call in and see her.
Lyn Hills offered a vote of thanks to Kate for her educational talk.
President Joan Harwood gave a brief run down on National Convention in Brisbane earlier in the month, where they listened to inspiring guest speakers and everyone at the meeting received a purple VIEW bucket hat.
In other activities, a group of 10 Day VIEW members joined with Gunnedah Evening VIEW Club members for their 35th birthday celebration on October 1.
Another social day is planned at Boggabri RSL on October 15.
