Gunnedah Speedway Club had first, second and fourth placings, as 12 members of the club competed at the Narrabri-based Northwest Speedway Club last Saturday night.
The Gunnedah foursome of Sophie Partridge, Clinton Hall, Bailey Jackson and Charlette Keeler competed in the NSW Racing Sedans Australia (RSA) Junior Title, while Gunnedah’s other competitors took part in the Street Stockers, Fast 4s, and Fender Benders.
Other competing members came from Narrabri, Portland, Newcastle, Coffs Harbour, Grafton, Dubbo and Bega.
Bailey placed fourth in the Junior All Stars division which also featured Sophie and Clinton, while Charlette came fourth in the Junior New Stars division.
A spokesperson from Gunnedah Speedway Club said the junior title feature was 25 laps of good, clean, fast racing.
“(We’re) incredibly proud of all the competitors, not just our club members,” the spokesperson said.
“The way they conducted themselves on and off the track is a credit to them, their families and their clubs.”
The spokesperson also said the Street Stockers feature was a hard fought battle between the top three, with the lead changing several times over the 15 laps.
Gunnedah Speedway Club member Todd Keeler won the Street Stockers division while his brother Trent was the runner-up.
In the Fender Benders division, Jeremy Keynes placed first while fellow Gunnedah driver Daniel Cronin was second.
Gunnedah also had a runner-up in the Fast 4s division, with Brooklyn Akers securing the second top placing.
