Gunnedah’s third grade cricketers had a comprehensive loss and a big win in their T20 fixtures at Riverside last Saturday.

Bective East won the first contest by nine wickets, before Gunnedah thrashed West Tamworth by seven wickets.

Gunnedah batted out its 20 overs in the first match, but could tally only 100 runs for the loss of six wickets.

Ken Walters made an undefeated 33, while the next best score was 18 from Tom Swain.

Harry Paul captured the lone wicket in Bective East’s innings, as only 11 overs were needed for Bective East to romp home.

Paul starred with the ball in the next game along with Lachlan Swain, as Wests crumbled to 60 all out in 15 overs.

Lachlan Swain nabbed 4-12 while Paul picked up 3-9 as they bowled four overs apiece.

Nicholas Swain, Charlie Haire and Angus Johns snared one wicket each for Gunnedah, while the miserable Wests total included 20 from Jason Livermore and 15 from Jake Morris.

Gunnedah 3-63 (Andrew Johns 26; Jacob Ellis 2-4) defeated West Tamworth 60 (Jason Livermore 20; Lachlan Swain 4-12, Harry Paul 3-9) by 7 wickets.
