Charlette Keeler claimed a top-three placing, as she and her dad Stephen represented Gunnedah Speedway Club in a Newcastle Street Stockers and Fender Benders series round last Saturday night.
Charlette raced in the Junior New Stars while Stephen raced in the Fast 4’s, as the Cullen Bullen track was a little unpredictable due to light rain.
With the slippery conditions, Stephen forfeited racing in the Fast 4’s feature to ensure his daughter was able to race in her junior feature.
Charlette subsequently earned the last of the three podium placings in the Junior New Stars.
Charlette’s final race in the juniors will be at the Eastern Creek Raceway on Saturday week, before she steps up to the Fast 4’s following her 17th birthday.
