A TALENTED group of Gunnedah’s rising tennis stars has returned home with outstanding results after competing at the 2026 NSW Country Championships in Wagga Wagga. The young squad produced an impressive haul of titles, finals appearances and strong performances against some of the state’s best country players, highlighting the depth of emerging talent in Gunnedah. TWENTY years of racing, mentoring and volunteering has earned Justin Partridge the highest honour at the Gunnedah Speedway Club, with the long-serving competitor named a life member at its annual presentation awards. It headlined a celebration of the club’s top drivers, volunteers and officials. Partridge has been tireless, while his influence has helped shape the next generation of drivers.
