MCLEAN Care, the operator of aged care facilities in Gunnedah, will merge with Respect Group after seeking a new provider for its regional services. The Inverell-based not-for-profit aged care provider has operated the 79-bed Apex Road residential aged care home as well as the 41-bed Alkira facility. It has also operated Mackellar village, a 48-unit facility co-located onsite with the Apex Road residential aged care. THE NSW Supreme Court has found Gunnedah man Callan Davidson not criminally responsible for the death of his mother by reason of mental health impairment. In his decision, Justice Stephen Campbell returned a special verdict of act proven but not criminally responsible.
